Pulaski County to set up registration pop-up sites for National Voter Registration Day Sept. 20

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. (September 19, 2022) – Pulaski County Circuit and County Clerk Terri Hollingsworth will join thousands of national, state, and local organizations and volunteers to celebrate National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

The Clerk’s Office has partnered with several nonpartisan groups to organize nine voter registration pop-up sites in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Jacksonville, Maumelle, Sherwood, and Wrightsville.

Volunteers and staff from each organization will be registering eligible Arkansans to vote ahead of the midterm elections on November 8, 2022.

“Our office has once again partnered with local organizations and groups to serve as bell ringers for voter registration. We will be in several cities in the County sounding the alarm that on September 20, we will have less than three weeks left to register new voters and re-register voters who haven’t voted in the last two federal election cycles. I encourage all eligible residents from Pulaski County to participate in our democracy, by registering and then to vote on November 8,” said Terri Hollingsworth.

National Voter Registration Day is held on the fourth Tuesday of September and has been observed since 2012. This year marks the 10th anniversary. The national day encourages everyone who is eligible to vote. Volunteers and organizations across the country work to register and educate people to vote in their communities, schools, work places, and at public events.
