Pulaski County Judge appointed vice chair of NACo Transportation Steering Committee

Judge Hyde Hyde met with Christine Harada, Executive Director of the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council (FPISC) on July 13, 2022, for a roundtable discussion focused on improving the permitting process for beginning construction projects supported by Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

PULASKI COUNTY, ARK. (August 5, 2022) – Pulaski County Judge Hyde has been appointed vice chair of the National Association of Counties (NACo)Transportation Steering Committee. This will be his second year to serve as vice chair.

NACo President Denise Winfrey said Hyde was chosen because of his involvement and commitment to NACo.

The transportation steering committee is responsible for federal transportation legislation, funding as well as regulation, and its impact on county government. The committee helps with
highway and bridge development, finance and safety, public transit development, transportation planning, airport development, railroads, ports and waterways, and development of new modes of transportation.

This past year as vice chair, Hyde participated in a roundtable discussion focused on improving the permitting process for beginning construction projects supported by Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). He was invited to participate in the roundtable due to his background with capital construction projects.

“I am honored by President Winfrey’s appointment and grateful for the chance to represent Pulaski County,” said Hyde. “I will continue to give my best efforts in supporting impactful county leadership through NACo.”
