Judge Hyde speaks on National Day of Racial Healing

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (January 18, 2023) –Yesterday, Pulaski County Judge Barry Hyde spoke at the 5th annual observance of the National Day of Racial Healing in Arkansas, hosted by the Arkansas Peace and Justice Memorial Movement and the Arkansas Municipal League. In addition to presenting the County’s proclamation commemorating the National Day of Racial Healing, Judge Hyde stressed the importance of citizens coming together to have important conversations addressing racial inequities in their own communities.

“Ignoring the deep wounds this country has inflicted upon many of its citizens does not move us toward healing. It only widens the gap…We are in this together. It takes all of us to reflect on racial healing and ask ourselves how we can make this a community where we all can flourish and achieve our full potential.”
