LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (July 26, 2022) –Pulaski County Judge Barry Hyde had the honor to introduce Little Rock Rotary Club’s guest speaker for Tuesday’s meeting, Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
“Through our partnership with the governor, Pulaski County has witnessed a surge in economic growth,” Judge Hyde said. “The Port of Little Rock has more than doubled in size and has created approximately 8,000 permanent jobs. This is not only good for the county but the whole of the region.”
Gov. Hutchinson is the past chair of the National Governors Association and former co-chair of the Council of Governors. He also served as U.S. representative for Arkansas’s 3rd Congressional District from 1997 to 2001.
Judge Hyde appreciates the governor’s willingness to partner with the County on improvements to our local infrastructure. The strength of this partnership helps attract companies like Amazon and Trex to the region and promotes a better position for our future growth.
“While the governor and I may not always agree, and at times strongly disagree, we share the belief that we can achieve more by working together.”
