PULASKI COUNTY AWARDS ENERGY PERFORMANCE CONTRACT

Little Rock, Ark. – Pulaski County has awarded an energy performance contract to Entegrity to perform an audit of county facilities to determine building energy and water consumption and to identify opportunities for cost saving and efficiency improvements. Entegrity was selected following an interview and selection process established by the Arkansas Energy Office’s Energy Performance Contracting Program; recently expanded to counties and municipalities by the Arkansas General Assembly in 2015.

“We are eager to work with Entegrity on a project that will ultimately save tax payer dollars, improve county facilities, create jobs and allow Pulaski County to be a leader in energy performance,” Pulaski County Judge Barry Hyde said.

The investment grade audit, set to begin within the next few weeks, will result in a report containing recommendations to improve building performance through updates to building systems. Based on the information and analysis in the audit, Entegrity will guarantee savings to the County. The Pulaski County Quorum Court must approve the final cost before work can begin. Once approved, a bond will be issued to cover the initial cost of the work that will be paid off using the guaranteed utility savings and avoided capital costs. The audit will include approximately 14 Pulaski County buildings including the County Jail and the Juvenile Detention Center.

“We’re pleased to be selected by Pulaski County to help achieve its goal of reducing energy and operations expense through an energy savings performance contract,” Entegrity Partner, Matt Bell said. “I commend the leadership of Pulaski County for having the vision to utilize this program to achieve its goals of energy conservation and environmental stewardship while protecting taxpayer resources.”
